The candles I bought were a part of my valentine's day surprise but I also thought they'd be useful if the power ever went out. We don't have many candles and can come in use for power outages and making the house smell nice. I also wanted to treat my SO to a valentine's day brunch, it's our first one together and wanted to make it special.
The team tshirt is for my ball hockey team and I think that would be cheap of me if I'm the only who didn't get one because I didn't want to spend the money.
I also saved an extra $62 on top of what I've already saved. Once I receive my tax refund of $140, I will be able to meet my first goal of saving $1,000 for my emergency fund. Any extra money will now be going towards my debt and with today's paycheque, I will be adding another $70 towards that.
For an overall update, in two months (4 paycheques), I have put $2,020 towards my debt and saved $860.
I'm quite happy overall and I can't say I've ever saved that much in two months.
