In an attempt to save money, I had bought my own professional hair dye and with the help from a coworker, who was a hairdresser, chose an ash blonde colour. So this past weekend, I finally decided to dye it. Let's just say it didn't turn out the way it was suppose to or what I thought it would look like. I have red colour in my natural brown hair so my roots turned strawberry blonde, even though I dyed my whole head. Now there's nothing wrong with strawberry blonde but the top of my head doesn't match the rest. If it's in a ponytail, it doesn't look so bad. I call it my new ombre look. :P
In the end, I think next time I'm just going to go see my hairdresser. She doesn't charge as much as most people do and I even have a hard time tipping her well, she won't take it. So I think this is one area, at least for me, where it'll be worth just having a professional do my hair. It actually might cost me more now that she has to fix it. Oh well, lessons learned.
